Our school fosters an entrepreneurial mindset – and we encourage our students to dream big, embrace cutting-edge strategies, and strive for greater success. That’s why we aim to support as many students and alumni as possible in realising their entrepreneurial aspirations. Our Vlerick Student Entrepreneurship Fund offers funding opportunities to help propel your ventures forward.

How does it work?

  1. You complete the application form and tell us all about your business venture
  2. A jury of experts selects the start-ups that will go through to the pitching stage
  3. If you’re successful, you pitch your venture to a jury of Vlerick faculty, founding friends of the Student Entrepreneurship Fund and Entrepreneurs in Residence

Who can apply?

You can apply for the Vlerick Student Entrepreneurship Fund if:

  • Your venture is no more than three years old on 21 October 2024
  • You’re a current Masters or MBA student or alumnus OR you’re a current participant or alumnus of a long-term Vlerick management programme
  • Your venture is at a pilot or proof-of-concept stage
  • Your total funding to date is no more than €50,000

Your pitching team must include at least one Vlerick student or alumnus.

When and where?

  • Dry-run: 21 November 2024, online
  • Pitch to jury: 27 November 2024, Brussels campus

How to take part?

Click “register” and complete the application form by 21 October 2024 at the latest (one form per team). If your team is selected, we’ll contact you by 12 November.

What’s in it for you?

If your team is selected, you’ll have the opportunity to pitch your venture to a jury of experienced entrepreneurs – and you may get a grant of between €5,000 and €50,000. You can use this grant several ways – for example, attending an international conference, building a prototype, hiring expert advice or paying accelerator fees.

The principle of giving back is a driving force behind the success of the Vlerick Student Entrepreneurship Fund. This is why we expect grant recipients to make a personal pledge to contribute to the fund at a time when they have attained success and have the means to do so. Your dedication to giving back will help ensure that future generations of entrepreneurs can also benefit from this invaluable opportunity.

We look forward to receiving your application and finding out all about your venture!
