Making sure you understand finance and sustainability – and think critically about them
For more than 20 years, David Veredas has developed teaching and research expertise in risk management, sustainable finance, and insurance. His knowledge ranges from regulation to mathematical finance, which he uses for both teaching and research.
At Vlerick, he teaches risk management, sustainable finance, insurance and statistics on Masters, MBA, Executive PhD Programme, and executive education programmes. He is also the director of the Centre for Sustainable Finance. He publishes regularly in international peer-review journals and he writes policy documents and opinion pieces in general public media. He has trained 14 PhD and DBA students, and six post-docs, so far.
David is an elected member of the European Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee, member of the finance committee at the King Baudouin Foundation, and a founding member of the Society for Financial Econometrics (based at Stern School of Business in New York).
