Mario Vanhoucke

Mario Vanhoucke is passionate about everything related to project scheduling, risk analysis and project control. He is constantly searching for more effective ways to measure, improve and optimise resource efficiency and performance. 

Mario’s research focuses on data-driven project management, using earned value management and schedule risk analysis. His findings have been published in renowned academic journals and he has written several books and received numerous research awards. He also develops his own project management software tools – as both standalone desktop versions and integrative tools in company software environments.

At Vlerick, Mario teaches on various programmes – including the full-time MBA, Beijing International MBA, Masters in General Management and our executive programme on Project Management.
