Why we redesigned our Full-time MBA

With rapid changes in the global geopolitical, technological, and business environment, leaders need to develop extra agility and new skills to navigate these changes and to seize opportunities.   

The new Full-time MBA provides more flexibility and choice for participants, includes new, exciting international study course options and features a new, updated and streamlined curriculum. We also emphasise personalised leadership development and entrepreneurial thinking.

As one of the leading business schools and MBA programmes in Europe (FT #27 Executive MBA in Europe in 2024), we continuously review and enhance the learning journeys that empower our participants.

Building on our success in 2024

Professor Martin Butler, MBA Academic Director, explains why it is now the right time for our Full-time MBA programme to evolve. “We are very pleased with how well our 2024 redesign of the Executive MBA portfolio is received in the market. The two Executive MBA programmes starting in October 2024 had record intake numbers, and feedback from participants is excellent. We expect to see similar results for our Full-time MBA intake in September 2025”.

The main focus of the redesign is to provide an even better experience to our MBA participants. Martin sees four key benefits of the redesign for our participants:

Coupled with our action-based learning approach and focus on impact, this is a clear differentiator of our programme.”
• Flexibility to personalise your MBA experience: “Providing our participants with extra flexibility has proven extremely popular. Not only can they choose from a much larger number of electives, but we also have three new specialisations in Strategy & New Business Models, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Digital Business Transformation. In the future, we will likely add two further specialisation options in Sustainable Business Strategy and Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence.”
• International experience: “We have added an international study course outside of Europe, which provides our Full-time MBA participants with the opportunity to visit South Africa or Singapore as part of their international leadership journey in a new business environment.”

Curriculum Overview

The tracks on leadership, personal development and entrepreneurship empower participants to discover their own leadership approach, spark an entrepreneurial mindset and give them the confidence, skills and tools to prepare for future leadership roles.

“What this approach does is provide a common thread through all topics, from start to finish,” says Martin, “You’re not jumping from finance to strategy to marketing. Instead, you’re developing an entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills across all these critical domains.”

The programme concludes with an action-oriented, practical and measurable In-Company Project. This project, in addition to many other career development activities, events and workshops supported by our Careers Team, is a great opportunity to explore future employers and build a professional network and reputation.
